CIS Sport Opportunities - Term 2 - UPDATED

5 Apr from SACS - Sport

Please note a change to the ISA Opens Hockey Boys nominations date – due TOMORROW

There are more sporting opportunities that arise in Term 2 in sports that do not have an ISA (Independent Sporting Association) competition or pathway. I am able and keen to enter students from St Andrew’s for these trials. However, in order to do this, I need to ensure that our students are competing to the level at which is required for this next level opportunity. Please note that for all ISA sport nominations are organised by our sport convenors and are selected by the school staff.

The CIS competition is 2 levels above school level competition, i.e. St Andrew’s sport progresses on to ISA sport which then progresses on to CIS level. As you can see, the level is high and therefore, I need to ensure that any nominations that I make need to be safe and appropriate.

The CIS sports that will trial in Term 2 this year are:
- AFL: Girls & Boys 15 Years & Under – nominations sent in prior to 29/4/24
- ISA Boys Hockey: Opens – nominations sent in prior to 9/4/24
- Rugby League: Girls & Boys 18 Years & Under – nominations sent in prior to 30/4/24
- Rugby League: Boys 15 Years & Under – nominations sent in prior to 6/5/24
- Rugby League: Girls 16 Years & Under – nominations sent in prior to 8/5/24

If your child plays at a high level and is interested in trialling for the CIS in the above sports, please send me an e-mail at tkelson@sacs.nsw.edu.au and include:
1. The full name of your child
2. The age your child is turning/will have turned as of the 31st December, 2024
3. The sport and age group (if age group is applicable) that your child would like to nominate for
4. A supporting letter from their club/rep team to confirm the level at which they are currently competing

If you would like to nominate for any of the above sports, you need to send the above information through prior to the nomination due date stated next to each sport.

If you have any questions, please e-mail me at tkelson@sacs.nsw.edu.au.

Thank you.
